Beaumaris Jetties

I was feeling lazy on the weekend so instead of a long drive out to the country I thought I would keep it relatively local and explore something closer to home.  I ended up in Beaumaris which is pleasant little bayside suburb an easy half hour drive or so from home.

The shot above was taken near the Sea Scouts building which can be accessed from the clifftop walk along Beach Road.  I will definitely have to go back and capture this location in different light & weather conditions.

Decided to wander around Beaumaris a bit more before calling it a night and stumbled across a couple of interesting concrete jetties at the Beaumaris Yacht Squadron.  Got there just as the tide was rising so there was plenty of water movement to capture.  Unfortunately this also meant getting splashed by the occassional rogue wave – good thing I was in shorts!
